Ninoshka Alvares-Delaney is a Goa based designer whose style of designing revolves around nature. Her label ‘Ninoshka’ comprises of pure natural and organic fabrics and the use of natural dyes such as pomegranate, indigo, lac, marigold etc to give it a more natural and eco friendly feel. Collections comprise of dyeing techniques such as tie and dye, bandhani and shibori, and printing methods like Ajrak and Kalamkari. She has been striving towards promoting local artisans and a lot of her garments comprise of handloom fabrics such as khadi and malkha and embroidery done by artisans. Her penchant for minimalism urges her to create silhouettes which have an international appeal.
