INTRODUCTION
Chhaap, means impression. Impression of patterns Impression of ideas Impression of craftsmanship Chhaap is a collaborative initiative exploring our common love for simple forms and play of dyes. Carving out this vivid, funfullid range of stoles and shirts, Chhaap tries to experiment with the technique and usage of form. An attempt to explore the traditional Indian craft of block printing and Dabu with an added flavour by combining it with 'Bandhini'. The idea is to use the techniques in combination bringing out a twist with their repeated dyeing process and play of patterns. Block printed patterns resisted with mud smeared blocks find their way in indigo dyes resulting in juxtaposed bold geometrics in red white and indigos. The tiny bandhini dots spread themselves within these patterns in pure simplicity and perfection. The bold forms and strong geometrics along with the imperfections of hand work together add beauty to each piece making it unique. A dose of ready to wear shirts and stoles meant for the bold and energetic, crazy and contemporary. Created with love for our ardent love for handcrafted textiles.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
'Chaap' is a collaborative between Medium and an independent designer, Ambuja Mittal.
It explores the traditional indian craft of Block Printing and Dabu with an added flavour of Bandhani.
Block printed patterns resisted with mud smeared blocks find their way through indigo dye resulting in a juxtaposition of bold geometry in red, white & indigoes.

We ship our creations across India using reputed courier services only. The order will be shipped within 5-7 business days of order placement.
REFUND POLICY
Each Chaap product is created with utmost love and care. All our products are handcrafted and variations in color and pattern are natural part of the beautiful process. Hence each piece is unique! Incase of any size related issues, you can write to us within 48 hours of receiving the product. All products should be returned in unused, undamaged, unwashed and in saleable condition, should be retained in its original packaging The product will be replaced with correct size of the customer (if available) Management reserves the right to accept or reject the return of products request. The cost for shipping the product back to us is to be borne by you. When we deliver your corrected pair, we will take care of the shipping. We reserve all rights to inspect the condition of the product before processing any returns or exchanges.
ADDITIONAL POLICY
Care instructions for natural dyed hand woven product 1. Do not bleach 2. Do not dry clean 3. Use mild laundry soap or detergent while washing 4. Wash separately by hand in cold water as natural dyed fabrics bleed color 5. Dry in shade as natural dyed fabrics are not light fast and therefore the fabric will fade in parts when expose to direct sunlight
