Creating a complementary mix of emotion and experience, KS Guru Prasad delves into the depths of the mind (Buddhi) and vision (Drishti) to give a beautiful form to this creative talent. His work speaks of a soul well-traveled, making each stroke of his artwork speak of expressiveness with geometric undertones. It is as modern in its color schemes as it is traditional in its blends. His approach is both poignant and spiritual. Born in the quaint and spiritually-inclined Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, Guru has derived inspiration from the plethora of temples and lush paddy fields. Translating a childhood passion for etching on pieces of paper to a degree (BFA) in visual arts from Government College of Fine Arts was only a natural progression. Currently residing in Bengaluru, Guru's art thrives in the fast-moving world of globalization and growth aspects and he loves to amalgamate his simple life philosophy and experience with the constant change around him. His body of work spans across disciplines of drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and digital photography. This website offers a snippet of his oneness with art.

I was born and brought up in a small beautiful town Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu from South India.
This is a place filled with temples and surrounded by paddy field.
After I completed my BFA in visual arts from Government College of Fine arts, under Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu. I started my journey as a visual artist. Currently, i am living in Bangalore.
I am the first generation person in my family started to travel out of my home town for job (for earning)
I strongly believe that this life travel keeps on telling me something. Few times it gives make an alarm saying survival of the fittest and many a time it makes me comfortable with the opportunities. This motivates me to involve in some healthy argument and conversation with the world through my visual art works.
