- Buddha – The Recluse
Material : Acrylic On Canvas
Dimension : 30†x 30â€
This work is part of my new series on Lord Buddha. This composition is done in a colorful expressionist and my signature mural style. This whole series depicts Lord Buddha in different stages towards attaining enlightenment.
The theme of this painting is a little intense and somber. It depicts Lord Buddha as a ‘recluse’ hiding behind a shroud. He seems to have lost his focus and objective in a violent and deceitful world. But the budding young lotus and the preserved halo around him shows hope that he ultimately resurface after this struggle and spread the message of harmony and peace.
