Matsya Purana is one of the eighteen major Puranas (Mahapurana), and among the oldest and better preserved in the Puranic genre of Sanskrit literature in Hinduism.The text is a Vaishnavism text named after the half-human and half-fish avatar of Vishnu.
Matsya Purana states that Karma Yoga is more important than Jnana Yoga to a new Yogi, because Karma Yoga leads to Jnana Yoga, and Jnana Yoga never arises without Karma Yoga.
Drawing inspiration from the Matsya Purana we have recreated the essence in handwoven premium linen saree applying centuries-old tie-dyeing technique of Shibori using Organic Indigo Dye.
