Cut like a Kaftan, this dress has patchwork of recycled cotton and silk samples decorated with minimal kantha stitch. Middle blue panel is hand spun khadi cotton in natural indigo. Color blocking to give a modern look. Fully lined with black cotton fabric inside.
Band collar in manjishtha dyed coral color matka silk. It has silk dori in waist from front to back. The side dull yellow panel is a resist print on Kala cotton fabric using natural black from iron rust. All colors are hand dyed at home using natural dyes like Madder root, Indigo, Pomegranate rind yellow, black from fermented rust iron and Myrobalan (Harda).
Adjust the waist by pulling up the dori in various fits. Team up with trousers or churidar to give a modern look !
