As we look up into the night sky, the universe seems to be made of many wondrous collections of stars. The Srishti ring is a microcosm of this universe of twinkling constellations.
The ring is embellished with a reverse bidri technique called Mehtabi. In this method, the carved designs on the rings are left unfilled, the areas around it are filled with pure Silver. So unlike in the other types to bidri where the ornamentation shines brighter in white, in Mehtabi the designs are more subtle, in black.
The ring is from our Sitara collection, our first collaboration with the artisans of Bidriware from Bidar, Karnataka.
