"Surya Namaskar’ or ‘Sun Salutation’ is a practice in yoga incorporating a sequence of gracefully linked asanas dedicated to the Vedic-Hindu solar deity Surya ". ‘Raised Arms Pose’ or ‘Hastauttanasana’ is second of the twelve asanas. It expands the chest and the rib cage resulting in full intake of oxygen.
