Wildlife Inspired intricate hand cut paper art. The SANGAI is an endemic, rare and endangered subspecies of brow-antlered deer found only in Manipur, India. Artist beautifully increased the antlers to express the beauties of this rare species.

This piece is truly a labor of love. We first drew the design, inspired by wildlife. We then hand cut the white paper with an x-acto blade into the piece you see. It is one continuous piece of cut paper- it took a lot of concentration and a very delicate hand.
The mount board background sits on the back of the frame so that a shadow box effect is created. We wanted the piece to have an infinite feel.
This paper cut is all about accumulation, delicate structure and extrapolating on natural forms. It’s a great statement piece for a living room or bedroom
