Wabi Sabi is the term that clearly defines the products under Aion. Broadly, wabi-sabi is everything that today’s sleek, mass-produced, technology-saturated culture is not. To discover wabi-sabi is to see the singular beauty in something that may first look decrepit. Sonal Shroff, the founder and creative director of Aion is a product of FIDI, Italy. She has always had a keen and curious eye on all things rustic, beautiful and aesthetic. Along with strongly believing in the beauty of everything hand made, handcrafted and natural, she strives to empower the underprivileged by employing them in manufacturing these products as a genuine effort to give back to the society.
