Manjusha is a line drawing art which uses sequential and scroll style of representation. Typically, the motifs are from the “Bihula-Bishahari†folklore, i.e. plants of Champa, Snake near leaves, five Bishahari sisters, merchant Chandrasaudagar etc. Nowadays, other folklores are also painted in the same style like Lord Shiva, Ram-Sita etc. Borders are one of the important aspects of this painting and majorly depict flora and fauna. Only three colors are used for this style of painting, i.e. Pink, Yellow, Green. Currently, fabric colors are used as raw material. Initially, it started as a painting on a “Kalashâ€, it is a water vessel used for rituals, slowly it evolved to wall painting, painting on paper, painting on fabric etc
