Arts of India
Shweta Goel
INTRODUCTION
Madhubani Art is a folk art from the state of Bihar and adjoining regions of Nepal. It is as ancient as the Ramayana. We aim to help art forms rediscover their lost glory by making continuous innovations and educating artists. We aim to make relentless efforts to empower and enrich the life of artists who solely can keep the fire burning. Our Aim 1. To preserve and promote this folk art form of India which has won endless awards like Padmashree. 2. To provide a platform to artists so that they have a wider customer reach worldwide 3. To empower women and girls who solely depend on this art form for livelihood. 4. To continuously encourage and nurture the younger generation who are frequently dissuaded by senior artists to give up. 5. Keep innovating as per customer’s desirability. We are neither just a profit based organization nor a charity…our aim is to make it a better place where art and its artists are loved and appreciated. We simply want to smile and let the world smile with us.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
Arts of India, is a brainchild of Shweta Goel who aims to synergise the energies of the Madhubani artists with the market place viability. Growing up in a business family she has it in her to view and do things differently.
We started our operations with simple hand painted Madhubani dupattas in cotton and tussar silk. As the months rolled over we received lot of love, appreciation and above all encouragement from our clients with whom we connected via word of mouth.
We also do customised orders as called for. Our client base comprises of educated, well-travelled, art loving people who are not only open to try new products but are equally rooted in their understanding of cross cultural portfolios. Our team is always geared up to take up new challenges in any product category.
