INTRODUCTION
Bibaar is a clothing line that celebrates the beautiful indigenous weaves of Assam; with the inclusion of other beautiful crafts from different parts of India like kantha, tie & dye, other Indian weaves etc. Founded by Bandita Mushahary, the label focuses on various weaving types of different indigenous communities of Assam with each community having their own sets of motifs, colour preferences and even the weaving techniques. Bibaar works so as to bring about some newness to the already beautiful craft without losing out its essence. It is amazing to see these hand weaving techniques give rise to some gorgeous textiles. The various indigenous groups have their own style of clothing in the form of Mekhela Sador, Dokhana Sadwr, skirts and other types of wraps. Bibaar interprets these textiles into modern silhouettes like tunics, jackets, kurtis etc. and also dupattas, sarees etc. for the modern women so that they can connect to it, own it and appreciate its beauty & the hard work that goes into producing these exquisite pieces. Bibaar is honoured if people can cherish these hand crafted products by looking at one or better still owning one.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
'Bibaar' means Flower in the local 'Bodo' dialect of Assam. It started out from Assam, working with grass-root level artisans & craftsmen, to support their craft and bring in newness to it, without losing out its essence.
The collection includes handspun & handwoven Apparels and also Wraps with an elegant touch.
As each fabric is handcrafted by the artisans & craftsmen, so each one is unique on its own. Besides being prized possessions in our wardrobes, these woven wonders promote local craft and create employment opportunities for the craftsmen. So, let all of us contribute to this noble cause.
At present, Bibaar is also working with & curating from talented artisans & craftsmen from all over India, so that we grow our family to support more & more Indian crafts and artisans.

REFUND POLICY
