INTRODUCTION

As an artist my purpose is to impart hope through my art. I wish to pass on the belief – all we must seek is the ‘Ichinen’ and unwavering self-belief. For me the process of painting is to experience an abundance of hope and a rush of fierce determination to keep going! The bold palette, shapes and abstract splash in my work are driven by the idea of throwing colours in life, unceasingly, till it creates a visual you fall in love with. Ichinen is a Japanese word, meaning determination. Being good at something isn’t about talent, it’s about having the desire, to make it happen. Just like our lives, every painting starts with an emotional state of deep conviction.
