Reviving the art of Quilting and Empowering the lovely mountain women whilst Delivering hand crafted goodness. Indian Yards was founded by Sunita Suhas , a self taught Quilter. Having learnt the skill and realising that this is a dying art, Indian Yards is an attempt to revive this skill at a grass root level. The first employee of Indian Yards was a domestic helper who was then trained to be a quilter. Indian Yards Quilt Shop is set up in the pristine Nilgiris biosphere a.k.a. the Blue Mountains in the southern part of India, employing only women from the weaker section of the society and training them to be patchwork pattern quilters. Each of these quilts are handmade using 100% natural cotton which includes the filing inside the quilt making these quilts breathe life into your sleep. Indian Yards is set up in the pristine Nilgiris biosphere also known as the Blue Mountains in the southern part of India, employing only women from the weaker section of the society and training them to be quilters. Each of these quilts are handcrafted using 100% natural cotton which includes the filing/wadding inside the quilt making these quilts breathe life into one’s sleep.
We source 100% cotton fabric from various regions of India and include hand block printed fabric popular for their Indian ethic appeal. We also craft modern designs using solid colour shades. While our market, at the moment, is predominately India; we have been sending out quilts to customers across the US and EU as well.
SHIPPING POLICY
We use India Post for shipping within India and worldwide. If you would like to expedite shipping, it can be facilitated at extra cost. For quilts specifically, our processing timeline is 5 working days so, we will dispatch your order within 5 working days from the order date. Delivery timelines within India is 3-5 working days. For elsewhere in the world, it is 10-15 working days. Please be rest assured that our endeavour will always be to deliver your order to you at the earliest.
REFUND POLICY
We, at Indian Yards, hand craft each of the products with a lot of care and love. Each of these products also go through stringent quality checks during the making and before being dispatched to customers. We also want to encourage ours customer to be more sure before placing the order as that just makes this a more efficient process and relationship. We are a small group of people working hard towards delivering quality products to the world whilst making a difference to the local community so time and resources are very precious. However, we will gladly accept returns and facilitate exchanges if there is any defect in the product.
