Neonia is an accessory brand that blends classic designs with eclectic sensibilities. The fresh and vibrant aesthetics of the brand are a result of inspirations gathered from all the things bright and beautiful from all over India.
As the saying goes, we can judge the taste of a woman by her handbag. Be it clutches totes or sling bags, Neonia offers a range of bags that are fun , functional and smart.
The bags are versatile enough to be carried with a number of ensembles be it Indian or western.
The brand aims at obtainable fashion with casual yet edgy style by combining different fabrics color and technique together in a unique and interesting way.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
Neonia was started by Neha Rai, a Design Graduate from the Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories department from NIFT, New Delhi.
Coming from a family where everyone is a professional in the field of science, be it her father who is a doctor or her sister who has her masters in pharmacology, she decided to break the trend and go a little offbeat to pursue her life long dream of being a designer. She then went on to study design at one of the best institutes in the country.
Post her degree, she worked as an accessory designer in different setups and organizations to understand the working of the industry better.
She started her career by designing belts and other SLG’s at one of the biggest export house named CrewB.O.S. .There she was an active part of the design team, involved in designing for global brands like Next , Dorothy Perkins, Marks & Spencer’s, Zara, Armani Exchange, Debenhams, Old Navy, Chico’s, Fossil, Relic, Lucky Brand, Mexx, Levi’s , Ann Taylor, FatFace, Esprit, EDC, Cold water Creek, Firetrap to name a few.
After working for a year and a half in a setup where the designs were mostly pret, she moved on to explore a different segment of the industry that focused on couture and designing elaborate, exclusive pieces. She took up the role of an accessory designer under Kavita Bhartia, a renowned fashion designer, where she worked for the domestic market and was involved in designing for multi design boutiques like Ogaan and Kimaya amongst others.
