INTRODUCTION
This shop showcases original artworks of artist Vijay Kiyawat, mostly water colors. In his view, art should bring happiness and uplift viewer's mood. Mystery and vibrant colors along with strong composition are his goals in every piece he creates.
ABOUT SHOP OWNER
1946 Born - Vijay Kiyawat - a self-taught artist is emerging on the scene of Indian contemporary art. Delhi’s sprawling gardens, trees, and flowers have dominant influence in his paintings. An IIT engineer, a corporate CEO working for over 4 decades, Vijay commenced his painting career late in life. His energy comes from his optimism and love for nature, and art in all its forms. His paintings reflect his personality through subtle and vibrant colors. He is currently focusing on watercolors - a spiritual medium - the medium he loves the most.
When not painting, Vijay loves to play the piano and do birding.

SHIPPING POLICY
1. Does the painting come framed?
Yes, it does. The price includes framing. I frame the painting elegantly using professional and experienced framers. However, if you have any specific framing need to go with your decor, you may write to me and I shall be happy to let you know if there would be any extra charge.
2. What is the cost of shipping to me?
For shipping within India the applicable prices indicated on the website are inclusive of packing and shipping by surface transport to any place in India. The painting comes to your doorstep in that price. For collection from my New Delhi Studio, the applicable price is for a securely wrapped painting.
3. When will I receive the painting after placing the order?
Generally within 2 weeks in India. Force majeure conditions and exceptional situations may take longer.
4. What if I receive the painting in damaged condition?

REFUND POLICY
My friendly “no questions asked†Returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately I cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a refund, the painting must be in the same condition that you received it. Preferably it should also be in the original packaging. I would recommend that for 30 days you preserve the packaging in which the painting came to you.
If your shipment was within India, a 10% deduction is applied while refunding the amount to you. This is towards the notional cost of initial shipping to the Indian address. In addition, if there are any levies/taxes/duties incurred by me while receiving the painting from you, the corresponding additional amount shall also be deducted while processing the refund. I shall provide to you receipts of such payments made by me.
The above 10% figure becomes 15% in the case of shipments made to countries outside India.

ADDITIONAL POLICY
1. What is the paper used for paintings?
I always use world’s top quality acid free archival papers having long life. The brands usually are Arches of France, Waterford of UK, and Fabriano of Italy. These brands are choice of the great watercolor masters of the world for centuries. For example Arches Paper was used by several masters such as Picasso, Chagall, Warhol, Ingres, Miro etc.
I generally use 300gsm (140lbs) CP fine grain paper. In some paintings, I have used heavier paper of 650gsm (300lbs).
Description of each painting mentions the weight and the brand of paper used.
2. How am I assured of authenticity of the paintings?
With every purchase a Certificate of Authenticity, mentioning purchaser’s name, and having picture of the painting is supplied for provenance. I sign the certificate.
3. Is there any written description of the painting somewhere?
