Thank you very much for stopping by my shop " Curio'citybylidwin", ' Curio'city' is an amalgamation of clay and fashion. All our pieces are designed and handcrafted. Each piece is made from a lump of clay that is carefully cured and treated to withstand high temperature. The first step is to give shape and add texture to the clay. They are air dried for a couple of days and then slowly fired in the kiln at a temperature of around 1000C. The fired pieces are then hand painted with colorful combinations of lead-free, non-toxic glazes. These pieces are then re-fired at 1200C for the glazes to mature. After the furnace cools to an appropriate temperature it's opened and what you see is the most fulfilling sight ever. Lastly, these pieces are beaded and combined with wires, hooks, charms, and threads, which converts them into functional wear. I hope that your search for handcrafted jewelry ends here. Come let's celebrate the spirit of Womanhood and Mother Earth through Curio'city!
