In the aboriginal regions of our country , there are shrines situated on village borders - a tree or a raised platform under the tree.Around that , a cluster of terracotta horses,elephants or bulls which are offerings made to the gods.Covered by countless layers of sunshine and rain,standing mute under the sky on the silent earth,witnessing and embodying the eternal human complex,reflecting some fear,some faith and some gratitude,the offerings lie therein an eternity of patience and plea.I wish to make my own offerings to the same shrine somewhere hidden in an unknown grove or forest, amid the self-same offerings filled with similar fear,faith and gratitude.
