I am a self-taught artist. All my recent works are based on realism in charcoal/graphite on paper. I want to sketch reality as we see in nature but also add personal touch on it.. By getting very close to the subject, one can genuinely surprise a viewer with something he thinks he already knows. I like to accomplish layers of shading and cross hatching and reach to the ultimate realism effect. Time and patience are very important factors in the genre of hyper realism.
