Born in 1987, Shri Kumar Adhikari completed his B.F.A. in Painting from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 2011 and MFA in Painting from IGNOU New Delhi in 2013. In his brief career span, he has won major accolades for his strong yet beautiful works. His recent group shows include Lalit Kala Akademi 2010, 2011; India Habitat Centre 2010; AIFACS, 2014, 2013, 2010, New Delhi; Visual Art Gallery India Habitat Center, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 2013. He has been awarded at the 86th Annual All India Art Exhibition AIFACS 2013, Illustration of Prem Chand Stories 2008, Cartoon competition In JMI University Delhi 2008. The artist travels extensively to rural areas for inspiration but lives and works in New Delhi.
