I am an artist by profession (Graduated from Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta; Rank: 1st Class 1st). Watercolour is my favoured media but I also express myself through oil on canvas and sketching. My style varies from realism to fine art, often touching the boundaries of magic realism. Citylife is my most favourite subject, and I capture the nuances of day-to-day life in my paintings not always as they are, but as I see them through my mind's eye. I am also a visiting faculty for National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad and conduct annual drawing workshops for undergraduate and post-graduate students. In the past, I have worked as an information graphics designer with Indian (Anandabazar Patrika and The Times of India group) & international media companies (Thomson Reuters) and MNCs like Capgemini.
