Nagarjun and Vishnu Nagar, the two famous Hindi poets of the mid 70’s and 80’s are his
greatest role models. These two revolutionary poets had raised their voices against the political turmoil and upsurge of corruption during the emergency. Their bold and resounding poems are often the trigger that evolves into visual imagery on his canvas, as a messiah of the common man he deals with mundane objects like chapatti, a table, spectacles, cactus flower pot etc. The commoner’s life revolves around these ordinary objects. The microphone has been used by him in many ways at times it becomes a symbol of voicing the unspoken loud and clear and at other times as a tool used by assorted politicians and dubious ideologues to broadcast their views.
This artwork was made combining acrylic and oil colors with serigraphy technique.
