After spending time at Hover dam and with the trees of Arizona, it was just another mid-summer evening in the lap of the great Grand Canyon. The stiffness of the rocks made me ponder over the situation where we stereotype the idea of beauty and try to portray it through flowers only, though being it beyond the notions of tangibility. The evening became more delight with my easel and the strokes, which I did livelily. The memories of that evening are deep inside me, and I painted this series in remembrance of that stiffness which I gathered from there.

ABOUT Artist Gurdish Pannu
Nowadays I prefer working with a knife on women figurative. I like it because it’s challenging. A single stroke may ruin the painting as there is no second chance. There aren’t any retakes or as you may take in oil paintings or some other mediums. Each patch of color exhibits my emotions. It may take hours or even years to get a thought upon a canvas. Every patch of color is a memory which depicts its intensity through my colors.
