INTRODUCTION
Mithila painting is the oldest form of painting recorded on Earth. Legend has it that Janak, the King of Mithila, had a daughter Sita out of Mother earth. When Sita got married to Lord Rama, Raja Janak got whole of his kingdom decorated with description of nature, earth, faith, joy & luck in natural colours made from flowers, turmeric, goat milk etc. These depictions later took the form of paintings. Continuing the ancient tradition, the women of Mithila still paint walls in different themes associated with nature, especially during weddings. That the women of Mithila can create this unique folk art on hand made papers, walls, clothes and different decor items, is due to their inborn talent. The colour me happy team is a unique blend of woman folk artists spread in over twenty villages of Mithilanchal, dedicated team and industry focused new generation visionary entrepreneurs. Most of the colour me happy items are also hand painted by mithila artists. In modern times these are popularly known as Madhubani Painting and Tussar Silk. Colour me happy focuses on bringing smile to the faces of all internal and external stake holders touching lives from big metro towns to small villages. We aim to reach every office and household with our auspicious paintings continuing to grow in different forms spreading joy and delighting customers in every nook and corner of the world. Today, we sell our products at over 20+ countries. In a short span of time, colour me happy has been recognised as the growing brand in Madhubani Painting category with an expanding international footprint. In line with our traditional core belief in earth, nature, faith, joy & good luck; we also give free madhubani classes to little girls who are willing to learn this traditional art from.

Hi !
I am Alka , wife of an officer in the prestigious Indian Army. I am a self learnt Indian folk artist aspiring to become a Mithila artist . Currently I am doing 6 months professional certificate course in Mithila painting with the prestigious National Institute of Mithila Art , Darbhanga. I love mixing traditional patterns and motifs with modern elements in my paintings. I started Madhubani painting in 2009 as a means to meditative painting and as a way to deal with stress . I draw inspiration from mythology, Indian folk tales and day to day lives. Fish, trees and birds are the central characters in most of my paintings. I love exploring various techniques on a variety of media, from oil and acrylic paints on canvas, to pen and watercolour on paper. I enjoy practising various Indian art forms in Madhubani painting itself namely kachni, bharni and godna.

SHIPPING POLICY
colourr-me-happy is committed to deliver your order with good quality packaging within given time frame. We ship throughout the week, except Sunday & Public holidays. To ensure that your order reaches you in good condition, in the shortest span of time, we ship through reputed courier agencies only. How the delivery charge is calculated for multiple units? The shipping charge is included for every product. For multiple products ordered the programme adds up the total of all individual shipping charges. Thus, a customer who orders three products is charged the total of all individual delivery charges associated with each product. Thus the delivery fee is calculated separately when a customer orders different products. Our prices are all inclusive. All taxes are included with the list prices except Octroi, if applicable in your region. There will be an Extra Octroi charges for shipments outside Kolkata.
REFUND POLICY
colourr-me-happy believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. Customer needs to reach out over an email requesting for an order cancellation. Support team will check with the logistics team if the order is yet to be shipped. We accept yet to be shipped order cancellation. Since colourr-me-happy with products / art work of sensitive nature, we do not issue refunds once the order is accomplished and the product is shipped. However, we realize that exceptional circumstance can take place with regard to the character of the product we supply. Therefore, we will honour requests for the refund on the following reasons: We will not be responsible if email id provided to us by you during order placement is incorrect or temporarily or permanently suspended. Major defects: Although all the products are thoroughly tested before release, unexpected errors may occur. Such issues must be submitted.
