About the product:
Our Quilts are beautifully embroidered by hand on high quality Hand-loom cotton fabric. The lines have been drawn on the fabric using materials that wash easily. The lines are then embroidered by hand with Cotton thread to ensure precision and detail. The style of embroidery used is the simple running stitch, traditionally known as "kantha" in India. This Quilt is our interpretation of "kantha" meets modern, as we try to use modern designs to suit international tastes. Moreover, traditionally, Kantha Quilts are made using layers of cloth only and we have taken modernized this tradition by using good quality poly-filling as layering, which is lightweight and easy to maintain. We often get asked why we choose poly-filling over cotton-filling and the reason is cotton can get lumpy and would need to be replaced after many uses. Poly-filling on the other is long-lasting. This Quilt is Colorfast.
Please note that the Quilt is completely handmade and slight variations between 2 Quilts may or may not be seen is the charm and beauty of handmade! Celebrate embroidery and celebrate handmade!
Care Instructions:
Gentle machine wash at 40C
Low Tumble Dry to protect the embroidery
Do not Iron or Very low ironing, only if needed.
