The colours used are organic and from the nature.The traditional colours found in Ajrakh printing are deep, which symbolise nature. Indigo ,Pomegranate seeds, gum, Harde powder, wood, flour of Kachika, flower of Dhavadi, alizarine and locally cultivated Indigo are just some of the natural resources that State Award Winner Abdullah Bhai used in this craft . Indigo Blue, Crimson Red symbolizes the Earth, and indigo blue symbolises twilight. Black and white are used with a view to outline motifs and define symmetrical designs.
